1968 through 1969
Worked as an undercover officer with duty assignments including Boise, Magic Valley, Lewiston, Idaho Falls, and Payette areas. Also did temporary duty assignments to Baker and LaGrand Oregon and San Francisco California.

Payette Police Department
1970 through 1973
Worked as patrol officer, school resource officer, and detective. Promoted to sergeant 1973.

Nampa Police Department
1973 through Present
w Worked as a Uniform Patrol Officer until promoted to Corporal 1975.
w Assigned to Detective Division 1976 - 1977.
w Assigned as Patrol Corporal to Patrol Division 1977 - 1979.
w Promoted to Sergeant in 1979. Worked as Patrol Sergeant supervising a patrol team and NPD firearms training.
w 1982 promoted to Lieutenant. Supervised patrol team, reserve officers, firearms training, Tactical Response Team (SWAT team), and canine unit.
w 1993 - 1999 transferred to City County Narcotics Unit. As Unit Commander continued to supervise TRT, and canine unit for NPD. Worked a multi-jurisdictional task force that included Nampa Police, Caldwell Police, Canyon County Sheriff, Owyhee County Sheriff, Parma Police, Wilder Police, and Homedale Police. Worked closely with Boise Police, Ada County Sheriff, Idaho State Police, and Drug Enforcement Administration on drug trafficking cases throughout the western U.S.
w In 1999 Transferred back to NPD Patrol Division. Assigned as the Patrol Commander supervising the largest division in the 2nd largest police department in the State Of Idaho.
w Currently supervising eight sergeants, ten corporals, and thirty-eight officers. Included in this division are the school DARE/SRO officers and the special investigative unit that works narcotics investigations, gang crimes, and repeat offenders.

w DEA agent's academy 12 weeks of training in drug enforcement tactics held in Glenco, GA.
w DEA Unit Commanders Academy 2 weeks of supervisor training held in Quantico, VA
w Firearms Instructor Schools 240 hours
w Canine Training Academy for detector and patrol dogs 8 weeks of training Oakland, CA.
w Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Training 400 hours
w Peace Officers Standards and Training records show 4,842 hours of total training as of 1/15/04.
