

Lt. Rick Wiley
Born in Boise on April 7, 1949, Rick has lived in the Treasure Valley for most of his life. He attended Boise public schools, Boise State College, and Treasure Valley Community College.
Rick has over 35 years of Law Enforcement experience including
the last 30 with the Nampa Police Department. A detailed resume is attached but highlights include supervising the Nampa Police Departments Firearms Program for over 20 years, starting the Nampa P.D.'s Canine Unit in 1987, assigned to the Utah Olympic Public Safety Command to help provide security for the Winter Olympics in 2002, and working closely with Boise Police, Ada County Sheriff, Idaho State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration on drug trafficking cases throughout the western U.S.
Currently Rick is supervising the largest division in the 2nd largest police department in the State of Idaho including eight sergeants, ten corporals, and thirty-eight officers. Included in this division are the school DARE/SRO officers and the special investigative unit that works narcotics investigations, gang crimes and repeat offenders.
Rick lives in Nampa with his wife, Elena Maria Jasso-Wiley, who works for the Idaho State Police. They live with his two step-daughters, Monica Exley and Alicia Exley. His family includes his parents, Charles and Ora Wiley, who are retired and living in Boise, his brother Fred Wiley, Boise, sister Arlene Wiley, San Diego, brother Doug Wiley, San Diego, and sister Angie Wiley, Guam.
